Our terms, on one page
Plain words, so you know exactly what happens when you say yes to your new website.
What you're buying
A website for your business, built from the private preview we sent you, in the option you choose:
Your preview page lists what each option includes. The price is fixed. We're not registered for GST, so there's no GST on top.
How payment works
- You pay half by card on your preview page to start. Nothing is built before that.
- You pay the other half when you approve the finished site, before it goes live.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or keep your card details.
What we need from you
- A short checklist, already filled in from your preview. You correct anything that's wrong and add photos if you like.
- Your word that you own, or are allowed to use, any logo, photos and words you send us.
- Access to the account that holds your web address. The checklist shows you how, step by step.
Timing
Once your checklist is in, we give you a date for your finished site. We don't promise a turnaround before then, because it depends on what you send.
Changes
When the site is ready, you get one round of changes to words and photos. Anything beyond that, such as extra pages, we'll price before we do it, and only if you say yes.
Going live
Your site goes live only when you've approved it and paid the second half.
What you own
- The finished site, and the words and photos on it.
- The hosting account, set up in your name, on a free plan.
- Your web address. It stays with the company that holds it now, and you keep paying them for it, as you do today.
At handover you get one page that says what you own, where it is, and what it costs you each year. Then we remove our access.
Your email
We never move your web address or change how your email works. Your email settings are copied exactly, and we test that email still arrives before and after the switch.
If you change your mind
Tell us by replying to any of our emails, and we'll stop work. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Our responsibility
We build your site with care and skill. Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Beyond those, and as far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost sales, and our total responsibility is limited to the price you paid us.
Your details
We use your details only to build and hand over your site, and to reply to you. We never sell or share them. If you don't go ahead, your private preview page is deleted after 30 days.
